That’s why we recommend investing in a YI Mirror Dash camera that not only takes up little space but captures videos of scenery on the road with a 138° wide-angle lens! With 4.3-inch touchscreen, night vision capabilities, and 1080p HD video recording from both front facing cameras, no detail will go unnoticed again while you keep an eye out for anything coming your way.

The cables are 6.5m (21.3ft) long and sit neatly under the dash for an unobtrusive look good driving experience!

The YI Mirror Dash Cam is not auto-dimming and has a very dim screen in bright daylight. Instructions for this product are convoluted and unclear, as the separate instruction booklet does not seem to be universal. The vibration of the mirror can make it difficult to view the monitor while driving; we recommend you hold onto your sun visor with one hand to avoid decreased visibility on sunny days.

Falcon Zero F360 HD Car Rear-View Mirror Dash Cam with 2 Built-in Cameras

dash cam mirror mountFalcon Zero F360 HD Car Rear-View Mirror Dash Cam is a sleek, high definition camera system designed with both professional and personal use in mind. It offers unique features such as two twin cameras on the same base that rotate at 180 degrees each for a powerful 360 degree viewing angle. The lens on these cameras covers an incredible 120 degree view from left to right, which means you’ll never miss anything happening behind your vehicle or while driving on the open road! You can even record events at night due to its Sony Starvis sensor and Built-in microphone.

The Falcon Zero F360 proves to be one of its kind with two cameras. The night vision feature allows you to see everything during nighttime drives, and it has a built-in microphone so that your passengers won’t get bored into trying your amazing tricks out on camera! Not just for entertainment, this also comes with an SD card which should take care of all other memory needs too!

The sky’s the limit when you’re cruising around town with the Falcon Zero F360 at your back, capturing every stunt ride through life.

It also includes all hardware necessary for installation: Dual USB Car Charger, 32GB Class 10 SD card, Cord Management Clips, Instruction Manual.

The disadvantages of this model are capturing video in 1080p with two cameras that shoot 720p which isn’t great quality for its resolution and it doesn’t always balance out white tones well either (not to mention how dark they let the screen get). Let’s face it: what we carry may be less expensive but there is no getting around this lack of attention to detail when it comes down to everything mattering most – you’ll be able to see your license plate number coming across someone else driving like they’re straight outta Fast and Furious.

Overall, the Falcon Zero F360 is set up to be one of the easiest dash camera installs on the market today. With a simple strap design, you only need to place the camera on your rear view mirror and use a few pieces of supplied double-sided tape to affix it there.

  • Built-in microphone
  • The bundle comes with a 32GB microSD card
  • It’s very simple to install

  • The SD card was of insufficient quality
  • The white balance is “unbalanced”
  • The resolution is low for the quality it captures
  • Darker mirror

CHICOM  Dash Cam

best mirror dash camThe CHICOM V21 9.66 inch Mirror Dash Cam Touch Full Screen is a high-quality product that has been designed to help you stay safe while driving. It features two HD cameras. One of which is a rear view camera, you’ll have all the safety and security of knowing what’s behind your car. However, with this dash cam not only will you be able to see what’s happening on both sides of your vehicle, but it can record everything in 1080P! This Chicom V21 also features touch screen controls and supports AVI video recording. The dash cam’s touch screen will allow you to see your footage every time!

The Chicom V21 has many great features that make driving more enjoyable for all drivers:

  1. 170° Full HD Front Camera;
  2. 140° Wide Angle Full HD Rear View Camera
  3. Touch Screen Control
  4. 1080P Mirror Camera
  5. AVI video format support

Moreover, this 9.66 inch Mirror Dash Cam Touch Full Screen has a built-in CMOS sensor for crystal clear video quality, an advanced G-sensor that will lock your videos in the event of an impact, parking monitor to protect your battery, and night vision for optimal viewing no matter what time it is.

However, I regret to note that the CHICOM V21 9.66 inch Mirror Dash Cam Touch Full Screen is not user-friendly despite the high quality camera. It will shake wildly around on bumpy roads and at night, making it hard to see what’s going on without glaring headlights or streetlights illuminating the exterior of your car. Daylight optics are just as shaky thanks to frequent sun glaring happening inside the cabin through this device’s large screen if it gets hot outside–you’ll have to wait for it to cool down before seeing anything clearly again due to an obnoxiously sensitive touch interface which responds much too quickly.

The rear view camera has low contrast seen in daylight but is pretty good at night.

  • Two cameras
  • 1080P resolution
  • 170° wide angle front camera; 140° Full HD rear view camera
  • It includes a high-end CMOS sensor with great picture quality
  • G-sensor: the cameras will automatically lock when it recognizes a collision
  • Parking Monitor: it’ll protect your battery
  • Night vision

  • It will cause the image and the mirror to be difficult to focus on due to its vibrations
  • When it gets hot, the display becomes glitchy and you must remove power until it has cooled down
  • The rearview camera’s night vision isn’t as good as the front camera’s: it’s mostly useful in well-lit settings
  • There’s not much after-sales service from vendors

Armor ALL ADC2-1004 720p All Rear View Mirror Dash Cam

rear view mirror dash camIf you’re looking for a basic dash cam, this is not it. The device forces us to dismiss the noise about low cost and no-frills devices because the video quality isn’t anything special. It will do in a pinch if there’s nothing else on the market for your needs or wants but we definitely recommend hunting around or waiting for another product to come out – one that may end up costing more over time because it actually does what it says!

Armor ALL ADC2-1004 720p seems to start and stop recording at it’s leisure, not actually when the car is in motion or not. This can be problematic if you are trying to provide evidence for an accident or other incident. Recording at night produces a low quality image due to illumination by headlights of oncoming traffic. The charger has insufficient power meaning the camera does’t get charged which is very annoying since there are no lights on SD cards telling you how much space is available before they run out of room while recording.

So after searching for any possible good news, now just let me compress my last few hopes into one sentence – do yourself a favor and forget about messing around with the cellophane wrapper on this time bomb waiting to drive off!

  • cheap stuff

  • The camera turns recording on and off at its own discretion
  • A poor quality picture is recorded at night.
  • The camera isn’t operating as it should because the battery won’t charge.

Toguard Mirror Dash Cam 7″ CE35A Dual Lens

mirror dash cam reviewThis is the great car camera with parking monitor and G-Sensor for people who are too short to tell if they’re backing out of a spot. This mirror dash cam with 7″ sensitive touch screen records FHD footage which guarantees nothing but crystal clear action!

Only one glance is all it takes for this intelligent device to capture the next movement, saving you time in editing hours worth of film in post-production. The 2.5D advanced anti-glare glass mirror is long lasting and includes an easy installation kit that makes setting up hassle free – even on Saturday mornings when every minute counts!

It is also worth noting that the Toguard Dash Cam is a great way to ensure that you capture and protect all of your life’s precious moments, but quite frankly it would be better if the night vision was more effective. The cable with this camera is really short which makes using it in any car difficult. What helps make up for these deficiencies is the small size and format of the manual for this product (just kidding about that one).

  • 7 inch IPS Touch Screen
  • 1080P Car Camera FHD Recording
  • Parking Monitor and G-Sensor
  • Motion Detection

  • Poor nighttime vision
  • A cable that is unusually short
  • The manual that came with the kit was very tiny.

Therefore, I am attaching the PDF version of the manual below:

TOGUARD CE13 Dual Lens Rearview Mirror Dash Cam User Manual

Junsun Mirror Dash Cam

best rear view mirror dash camThe Junsun car camera with dual lens is the excellent dash cam for people who are looking to invest in their future. The high resolution screen gives you an entire view of all angles, ensuring that nothing will be missed while on your daily commute! With Night Vision recording capability and a built-in GPS system, this jewel ensures total confidence during long hours behind the wheel – no matter how good or bad traffic conditions get! All footage captured by this device can be stored directly onto its Micro SD card (up to 64GB), which makes it easy to review events at any time through PC/Mac.

The only real downside I found was that when driving over bumps there were constant vibrations coming from inside the mirror itself, and this became very annoying. Another issue was that the camera would automatically shut off after a few minutes and at random times which made me question its overall durability under normal conditions. These things aside, however, I am still attaching my favorite review of this product, as it will give you an accurate sense for what to expect if you decide to invest in this gadget.

  • 10 Inch Full View Scree
  • 170° viewing angle
  • Built-in GPS recording system for location and speed tracking.
  • High resolution screen
  • 24 Hours Parking Monitor
  • Nightvision

  • During driving, vibrations coming from inside the mirror may be uncomfortable.
  • The camera may switch off for no apparent reason

Auto-Vox M2 1080p HD Dual Lens Rearview Dash Cam

This is one of the most high tech mirror dash cam with a G-sensor that I have ever seen but I dealt with its features in more detail in this article.

Mirror Dash Cam As Seen on TV

rearview mirror dash camOfficial HD Mirror Cam Dash Cam 350° is really not living up to the name. First of all, it doesn’t even continuously record in HD. It only captures in 720p which looks mediocre at best. Second, isn’t continually recording enough? There’s no need for this cam to rotate because you can just turn your head when necessary anyway—it costs additional money to be able to see what’s behind you while driving! Thirdly, this product barely fits over any standard sized mirror so keep that in mind if trying out this product yourself. Lastly but definitely not least are the bad viewing angles and low picture quality for videos/photos captured.

However, I would add more the mirror’s so dark – you can’t see your face when you drive in the morning darkness. Plus, the motion detection doesn’t work at all and the audio quality ranges from muffled to inaudible. So not only will you be stuck in traffic because of this contraption but nobody will be able to hear what’s happening when someone pulls up behind you either. This is just useless junk that might as well go back on TV where it belongs if we don’t want our roads clogged with crap like that come Monday night. Seriously, save yourself some time and money here: stay away from it!

  • 350° rotating lens for capturing everything in front of you
  • Quick install

  • Does NOT record HD, its 720p
  • Poor image quality
  • When compared to the vehicle’s original mirror, the mirror in this van is considerably darker
  • Motion detection is unreliable at times
  • The sound quality is terrible
  • The sales pitch was incorrect. It did not function as promised

Mirror dash cam mounts range from adhesive and suction cups which you need to clean before installation, side brackets that may obstruct the view slightly or at least require some fiddling around with during an emergency.

How to install?

A mirror dash cam can either be mounted on the windshield or rearview mirror, depending on preference.

The first thing you want to do is choose where your best spot for installing it would be. The location should give you a full view of what’s happening behind and around your car while also allowing easy access to buttons whenever needed. Keep in mind that once placed there, the camera isn’t going anywhere so take some time choosing this spot carefully.

After doing so, install one end of the mount onto the chosen location by pushing until it snaps into place then attach other side with corded electrical tape (making sure not to obstruct any functionality). Finally just connect power cable running down driver’s side door post which will allow easier removal when parked.

Mirror dash cam flickers when ignition is off

If you notice your mirror dash cam flickering when the car is turned off, it’s either because battery has died or camera was somehow activated while parked.

The first thing to do is turn ignition on and check if the issue persists. If not then just power down device with any of three buttons present at top of screen (depending on model).

Next step would be checking whether there are hidden menus that can help solve this problem without having to dismount everything from windshield/rearview mirror mount. For example some cameras allow an option for turning “driver assistance” feature off which may have mistakenly been enabled in parking mode causing issues like these during idle time after engine shutoff. You could also try changing recording settings by going into main menu and looking for anything that may have been enabled by accident such as motion detection recording.
